Spring Branch ISD Fleet Fueling Facility

This project involved the design and engineering of a new fuel system for Spring Branch ISD’s bus fleet, white fleet, and police department vehicles.

The facility has (1) 20,000 gallon diesel above ground storage tank (AST), (1) 12,000 gallon regular unleaded AST, and (1) aboveground LPG tank. In addition to the fuel system, M+A was engaged by SBISD to construct a new bus wash canopy with all associated drainage infrastructure. Lastly, M+A provided services to expand the bus parking lot and redesign parking striping of the existing lot to create a safer traffic flow while increasing available parking.

The project involved demolition of the old fuel dispensers, canopy, and underground storage tanks. M+A was able to provide insight and plan for this project to be phased in a way which allowed the district to complete the new fuel system while keeping the existing fuel system operational during construction. This allowed for the district to experience little down time of their fueling operations during the construction of this project. Also included in this project was the civil design, structural engineering for the tank foundations, canopy design, and electrical engineering for all new fuel system controls, new canopies, and new parking lot lighting infrastructure.

Morris & Associates provided all permit and construction drawings. In addition, Morris and Associates provided construction administration services during the construction phase of the project.
